The Muso Awards Preview

Tonight marks the second Muso Awards at Camden’s iconic Electric Ballroom. All the awards are voted for by bands, artists, writers, photographers, and DJs from the UK’s underground indie scene.

Last year, Pete Doherty and Kyle Falconer graced the stage, duetting Libertines and The View classics, reigniting those halcyon days of the early 00s at Filthy McNastys.

Spangled

Manchester’s Spangled can flip from playful to poignant in an instant. Guttural, poetic, and vital, their tales traverse psyche to punk to indie, often at once. A band so ready to step into people’s lives. Watching it unfold feels like a privilege.

Sweet Unrest

A.R.T

Formed in 2018 by frontman Alfie Clayton (ex-Skinner Brothers), their tunes have the rabid intensity of the recent post-punk boom but the guile and funk of Talking Heads, setting them apart.

Amity

The next great vocalist from South London. Pin-drop moment after pin-drop moment emanates from their illustrious singles.
